Translation Workshops

Concept

In our translation workshops concerning different languages and special fields we want to offer young translators carefully selected among graduates from the translation faculties of different universities the opportunity to work together with experienced translators and experts from all over the world, to gather experience by constant communication among each other and thus to create qualitatively excellent works.

Our translation workshops are supervised by respective experts from universities. The regular meetings under the supervision of such a seminar coordinator, the exchange of ideas in a cooperative atmosphere, working together on the text, regular controls and if necessary corrections by the respective expert result in a teacher-student relationship from which both parties benefit and therefore the translation as such. The final step in the process of translating consists of a perusal by prominent translators.

We set a high value on a fair payment for such work, since it is connected to the quality of the translations, as already described, and fortifies the prospective translators in his education and in his appreciation of his own skills.

Furthermore the young translators are able to participate all year long in our translation seminars and other translation events in cooperation with national and international experts and insitutions to meet translators, authors and publishers.

In addition it is our aim to enable a stay for our young translators in a foriegn country, if translating requires a local research.

On the one hand we want to help young translators to gain practical and theoretical work experience, on the other hand we want to contribute to the international market and thus the cultural exchanges by providing precise and diligent translations from other languages to Turkish and from Turkish to other languages.
