Philosophy and Aims

We see cultural exchange as a gain resulting from experience, knowledge and the competence of individuals.

This makes us conscious of our own culture and makes us open-hearted towards foreign cultures, and this is the basis of our duty as AKŞİT KÜLTÜR.

Our vision as a private and independent initiative is to create an open cultural institution which is nourished by the creative work of culture lovers and above all culture producers. And the mutual inspiration, solidarity and cooperation should always remain in the foreground. As an institution of culture we would like to offer a platform for discussing ideas and for realizing projects. Thus we want to contribute to dialog and better understanding between cultures.

It is very important for us on the one hand to make the various cultures of Turkey known abroad and on the other hand to develop Turkish people`s knowledge of different cultures of foreign countries. In this way we do our part for cooperation. We wish that people would see the world with open eyes and remove all kinds of preconceptions. We consider culture as a global value and enjoy this.
